Abstract：Using cases and anecdotes, this seminarwill discuss the importance and emerging research issues in the field of dataanalytics in operations and supply chain management. I want to share 3 keylessons I have learned over the years:

– Yourmodel must be able to cope with errors in parameters input and modellingassumptions. Learn from data.

主講人簡介：Teo Chung Piaw教授，新加坡國立大學商學院

OperationsResearch的領域編輯，ManagementScience的副主編

1990年本科畢業于新加坡國立大學（NUS）數學系，1996年博士畢業于麻省理工學院（MIT）運作管理專業，博士畢業后即回到新加坡國立大學商學院任教至今，1996年至今擔任新加坡國立大學商學院副教授/教授。

目前，擔任新加坡國立大學OR中心主任（曾任商學院系主任/副院長/執行院長等職位），并且擔任管理科學旗艦期刊OperationsResearch的領域編輯，Management Science的副主編。Teo教授獲得美國西北大學Eschbach學者，臺灣元智大學杰出訪問教授，新加坡國立大學Provost ChairProfessor等榮譽稱號，擔任2009年和2012年中國最高管理學獎——復旦“管理學杰出貢獻獎”專家委員會委員，和運籌學和管理學研究協會（INFORMS）的Nicholson論文競賽委員會主席和IMPACT委員會委員，以及香港博士獎學金遴選委員會委員。在國際頂級期刊OperationsResearch，Management Science，MathematicalProgramming，Production and Operations Management，Mathematics of Operations Research等發表高水平論文70多篇。他的研究興趣包括：服務和生產的靈活性，離散優化，港口集裝箱業務和醫療等領域。
