報告摘要：

In medical research and healthcare,there are many large data sets which are related to each other in terms of theclinical trials, medical research publications, Electronic Health Records(HER), annual health check-up records, and patient bed-side monitoring data. Inthis talk we discuss our case studies and experiments on how we can connect therelevant medical and health data sets together to rank the most influentialtreatments for diseases, to predict the health states for ageing individuals,or to predict the mortality of hospital patients.  A graph-based data fusion approach will beintroduced to represent the different types of relationships among data itemsand learn from data for predictions.

主講人簡介：

Dr Xue Li is a Professor in DEK (Dataand Knowledge Engineering) Division, School of Information Technology, theUniversity of Queensland in Australia. His research interests are in datamining, intelligent information systems, and socialcomputing. He led hisresearch team won 9 prestigious prizes awarded by Google, Microsoft,International conferences, and the Australian Government in recent years. He isrecognized as the 11th of Top-50 Most Influential People in Australia in 2015by Australian Financial Review. He is currently a Chief Investigator for 4Australian ARC Funding Projects with more than two million Australian Dollars.He is an Associate Editor of Journal of Advanced Internet of Things.  He also was an Editor on Board ofInternational Journal of Management of Information Systems & Technology. Hehas over 160 publications as monograph, edited books, book chapters, andjournal and conference papers.  He hassuccessfully supervised 15 PhD students to completion and is offering 5 PhDscholarships in 2016for research excellent students.
